Darryl's BIO
Darryl is a successful businessman, church lay leader, and public speaker with a career spanning over thirty years. He spent his early career with Fortune 100 and Jim Collins labeled "Good to Great" company Kimberly-Clark Corporation. There he managed production control, in bound logistics, and manufacturing and distribution operations for several of its consumer products facilities.
Later he spent fourteen years in the "Private Equity", "Small Business Start Up and Turn Around" industry where he did six projects three of which were Greenfield initiatives. During this time he also led two mergers and one acquisition. Darryl raised $5.0 million in private equity for these firms and won three business plan competitions securing more than $65k in awards.
He led Production Control & Logistics at Textron's Bell Helicopter after serving successfully as Vice President Commercial for Textron Specialized Vehicles (E-Z-GO). While Vice President of Commercial he led the revitalization and globalization of the Cushman brand and product line while at the same time developing the inorganic growth strategy that led to the acquisition of Tug Tech, market leader in Ground Support Equipment.
He also led Plant Operations for Textron Specialized Vehicles maker of the World's #1 Golf Car. Under his leadership as Plant Manager, E-Z-GO received the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, an award equated to be the "Nobel Prize" of Manufacturing. Also during his lead the E-Z-GO Plant was recognized as one of Industry Week's Top Ten Best Plants in North America. He has a demonstrated history of driving operational improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost and profitability.
Darryl has participated in church leadership for over twenty-five years. He has served on the Pastor's Council for each church in the towns in which his career afforded him to live on five separate occasions, churches whose membership ranged in size from 100 to 600. He has been a public speaker in and out of church settings for thirty years. Amongst his roles of service in the church are Teacher, Lay Youth Pastor, Cell Group Leader, Worship Leader, Councilman, Hospitality Team Coordinator, and Musician. Amongst his roles in the community are Youth Baseball Coach, and Youth Basketball Coach.
